The brief

The framework comprises of the purchase and maintenance of Road Traffic Cameras (Speed, Red Light and Average Speed) along with the remedial maintenance and purchase of non-operational camera housing across the West Yorkshire region.

Kirklees Council is part of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership comprising West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Magistrates Court Service, Highways England and 5 local authorities (Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds and Wakefield are the other 4).

The framework will consist of 5 Lots: Lot 1 - Purchase and Maintenance of Speed Cameras Lot 2 - Purchase and Maintenance of Average Speed Cameras Lot 3 - Purchase and Maintenance of Red Light Cameras Lot 4 - Purchase and Maintenance of Combined Red Light and Speed Cameras Lot 5 - Remedial Maintenance Lots 1-4 will include a call-off mechanism for purchasing both individual cameras and multiple units.

The successful supplier will also be responsible for maintaining each camera for up to 10 years.

All cameras must include a 12-month warranty, with additional maintenance packages available for years 2-5 and 6-10.

Lot 5 will include safety inspections, painting, damage repair and removal of all older cameras in the West Yorkshire area.
