The brief

Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to provide exhibition traffic management services to support the safe, efficient and coordinated movement of vehicles associated with exhibitions, conferences and other events at the venue.

The contract will encompass pre-event planning, development of event-specific traffic management plans, implementation of traffic management measures, management of vehicle holding areas and traffic zones, traffic regulation order administration where required, and the provision of trained traffic management operatives to manage vehicle movements during event build-up and breakdown periods.

The successful contractor will work closely with the HCC Traffic & Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver traffic operations across designated areas of the venue, including the Dragon Road Holding Area and vehicle access routes serving the exhibition halls.

Services will include supervision of traffic management personnel, stakeholder liaison, daily briefings, operation of the venue traffic booking system, implementation of temporary traffic management arrangements where required, and post-event reporting.

The contractor will be required to provide competent and appropriately qualified supervisory and stewarding personnel capable of managing complex exhibition traffic environments, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety requirements, traffic management standards and event operational procedures while delivering a professional and customer-focused service to exhibitors, contractors and visitors.
