The brief

The University is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT for the supply, delivery and installation of an Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) system.

A key feature of the equipment will be the ability to measure biomolecular interactions and accurately determine their affinity, enthalpy, entropy and stoichiometry over a wide range of affinities.

The system should provide user-friendly operation and data analysis, and training of the initial users must be included.

The ITC will be delivered and set up in laboratory space within the Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences and is anticipated to also support the research needs of the Departments of Chemistry, Engineering and Physics over the next ten years.

The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.

There could be a requirement for further purchases, dependent on future funding.

Lancaster University reserves the right not to award a contract following this tender, nor does it bind itself to accept the lowest price or any quotation.

The contract awarded shall not be split in multiple suppliers to fulfil the options.
