SC22135 - Electric Fastrack Services
This is a large award for Transport Services — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 20,160 valued Transport Services tenders in our corpus.
The Kent County Council (KCC) wishes to engage with suppliers regarding capacity in the market to provide future electric Fastrack Bus Services.
KCC would like to take the opportunity to invite suitably qualified bus operators to express an interest in this requirement and complete this formal 'Market Engagement Questionnaire'.
There are currently two Fastrack bus routes in Kent Thameside, Fastrack Route A and Fastrack Route B, providing around 2.8 Million passengers per annum and growing.
Fastrack coverage area includes Dartford, Ebbsfleet, Gravesend, Amazon LCY3 and Greenhithe.
Fastrack is also included as a key service to future local developments including the proposed London Resort.
For further information regarding the current Fastrack bus services, please visit the Fastrack website: https://www.go-fastrack.co.uk/ KCC is developing detailed service specifications from which the future bus operator will be required to provide and operate reliable and robust timetables and maintaining high operational standards.
These services will continue to need to be provided 365 days a year and specified routeings and frequencies are expected to evolve during the lifetime of any future contract.
Additional routes may also be added during the lifetime of the contract.
Responses to this questionnaire will be used to inform KCC's strategy for commissioning these services; KCC may contact organisations directly to discuss and/or clarify their response to this questionnaire where necessary for this purpose.
The questionnaire can be found on the Kent business Portal's 'Current Opportunities'.
Please complete and return via email to SCCommercialTeam@kent.gov.uk by Monday 16th May 2022.
