The brief

The Future Cities Catapult is a technology and innovation centre set up by Government to advance innovation, to grow UK companies to make cities better.

The Catapult has a requirement for technical advisory to support its work in market creation for IoT technologies and integration with energy management and systems in cities.

There are many energy and IoT projects in development in cities across the UK.

To develop projects which are close to becoming investible propositions, the Catapult, working with Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), wishes to run targeted programme of technical analysis and professional advice for project sponsors.

Project sponsors are likely to be local city authorities and their local partners in the energy sector with other asset owners (e.g. a housing provider).

The targeted programme will involve the Supplier working with the Catapult over a 4 week period with 2 - 3 city based energy and IoT projects which are still in the business case development stage and moving towards becoming investible and deliverable propositions.

The appointed team will provide commercial, financial, and technical analysis and guidance to assist project sponsors developing investible propositions which can be funded from public and private investors.

It is envisaged the appointed team will be able to utilise its experience of recent transactions in energy systems and management and IoT to help guide the project sponsors in cities.
