The brief

Warrington Borough Council and Warrington CCG are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced provider to support foster carers in caring and supporting a young child (4 years old) as she transitions from a hospital environment where she has remained since birth.

Due to the extremely complex nature of the child's condition, staff must be highly skilled, trained and qualified to support the maximum health and well-being as she moves to a more local hospital setting near foster carers in North Wales, and then onto her foster placement.

The provider will then provide ongoing support to the child and foster carers as required.

The contract will initially be for a duration of twelve months whilst the child settles with foster carers.

Once the child's emerging needs are identified this is likely to be a longer term contract that will last several years and beyond.
