The contract will cover one period of 13 months.
As part of the NHS Pensions McCloud Programme, there is a statutory requirement to provide remedy offers to members found to be discriminated against by the 2015 pension reforms.
This activity involves NHS Pensions undertaking a range of complex calculations to determine the sums owed to affected members, allowing them to make their remedy choice.
Automation has been applied where possible.
However, due to the complexity of the NHS Pension Scheme, a significant portion of these cases will still rely on a level of manual calculation processing.
Specialist pensions administration services are required from the supplier market to complete these manual calculations.
This will allow NHSBSA to produce the Remedial Service Statements (RSS) and communicate these to scheme members.
NHSBSA categorises its scheme members into either 'Officer / Non-Practitioner' or 'Practitioner'.
The contract that will result from this UK4 Tender Notice covers RSS cases for Officer / Non-Practitioner members only.
