The brief

MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT - MANAGEMENT OF HELICOBACTER PYLORI C13 UREA BREATH TEST SERVICE Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (ML CSU) on behalf of the Commissioner, Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (LC CCG) would like to invite providers to attend a 'Market Engagement Event' which will inform the market of the Commissioner's intentions to re-tender the provision of the management of H. pylori C13 urea breath test service.

The service has recently been re-commissioned through an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract scheme.

The Commissioner is considering re-opening the window to allow further entrants to the scheme to enhance the patient choice offer of the service.

The aim of the service is to ensure excellent patient choice across Leicester City for the provision of the 13C Urea breath test, which is the test of choice to detect H. pylori bacteria, by implementing a safe and sustainable service in the community by increasing capacity and capability in primary care and reducing inappropriate referrals to secondary care UPDATE There will be two individual Market Engagement Events (MEE) which will take place on the following dates: 18th June 2019 from 11:30 - 13:30 20th June 2019 from 10:00 - 13:00 and 14:00 - 17:00 The MEE will take place in Leicester, St John's House, 4th Floor, 30 East Street, LE1 6NB You will be allocated a 30 minute slot within the time frames mentioned above.

The Market Engagement Event will provide: • an overview of the service to be provided • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timelines • an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations. • a detailed overview of submitting an offer (tender) through ML CSU's tender portal - Bravo mini-masterclass Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are restricted to no more than 2 persons per organisation.

The service will be commissioned via a procurement process, advertised to all providers, which is proportionate to the value and complexity of the service and contract.

It should be noted that under the AQP model, there will be no guarantees of volume or payment in the contracts awarded.

This contract is available until 31st March 2024.

The tender will be advertised on Contracts Finder, and on MLCSUs' procurement portal, Bravo, which will be utilised for the tender.
