The brief

The Met Office currently operates a radiosonde network, and we're looking to find out more about the latest developments and innovations in the supply market.

In light of this, we are issuing a request for information, seeking some insight from the market as to the current capabilities on offer.

If you are interested and would like further information, please contact adam.rossiter@metoffice.gov.uk , who will be able to provide you with: a) Further details on the scope of our existing network; b) A description of the type of information we are trying to obtain from the market at this stage, and; c) Instructions on how to submit some information to the Met Office about your capabilities and solutions.

We are hoping to receive submissions by Friday 21st May 2021.

PLEASE NOTE - this notice is an information gathering exercise rather than a call for competition, and therefore publication or response does not commit the Met Office or any respondents to a future procurement, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any parties expressing an interest.

The Met Office will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise.
