Maintenance of Hayle Public Amenity Areas
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
This sits in the lower-middle of the Agriculture, Forestry & Horticulture band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 3,317 valued Agriculture, Forestry & Horticulture tenders in our corpus.
Maintenance of Hayle Public Amenity Areas in general, more specifically 10 owned or managed sites, along with the weed spraying of public highways and the upkeep of the public rights of way network in the parish, in and around the town of Hayle in West Cornwall.
The Town Council wishes to combine the existing maintenance regime for public amenity areas around the town of Hayle into one single service contract, in order to facilitate anticipated efficiencies, economies of scale, continuous improvement and easier overall contract managment.
Although the Council has a desire for one all encompassing service contract to be let, it recognises that there may need to be an element of sub contracting involved.
The Council also reserves the right to award individual service requirements to more specialist service providers, who can demonstrate a clear value for money advantage, through the tender evaluation process, to the Council in doing so.
The following range of services are intended to be included within the overall contract: grass cutting, hedge/shrub trimming and wall vegetation clearance, leaf/debris clearance, weed spraying, tree inspection and maintenance, playground equipment safety checks and general property safety checks.
The following properties are intended to be included within the overall contract: King George V Memorial Walk, Hayle Recreation Ground, Station Hill Gardens, Millpond, The Plantation, Hayle Open Air Swimming Pool, Hayle Community Centre, Allotments, Beach Access, Public Highways - weed spraying and Public Rights of Way - footpath maintenance.
The intention is to let a Contract on a 4+1+1 basis, i.e, for an initial 4 year period, commencing from May 1st, 2016, with options to extend for two further periods of 12 months subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and mutual agreement on any amended terms and conditions of contract.
