City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust (CHSFT) (hereinafter called \"the Trust\") wishes to commission a fully managed service to provide, maintain and service Feminine Hygiene sanitary bins, and the provision of sanitary product vending machines located in staff, public, ward/patient area female toilets across the Trust sites: - Sunderland Royal Hospital; - Sunderland Eye Infirmary; - Sunderland Children's Centre; and - Church View Medical Centre The objectives of this service are: - To provide an efficient and timely Washroom services; - To respond to the differing needs of Trust sites; and - To maintain and improve the customer experience of using the Trust's washroom facilities The contract is for an initial 3 years with effect from 1st June 2017 with an option to extend for a further 2 years (on a 1 year + 1 year basis) at the discretion of the Trust and subject to satisfactory financial and contractual performance.
It is anticipated that moving forward this contract shall fall under the responsibility of the Property and Facilities Management Company (PFMC) which will be a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trust and will deliver a wide range of hard and soft facilities management services to the Trust.
