Early Engagement Notice -'London Made Me' retail development programme Introduction This Early Engagement Notice is issued by Transport for London (TfL) on behalf of The Greater London Authority (GLA) and seeks to obtain market feedback in relation to the procurement of 'London Made Me' retail development programme.
The programme aims to give London's talented artists and creative businesses for across the Creative Enterprise Zones the opportunity to gain a hands-on experience of high street retail and launch their own retail offer to the public in a collective pop-up shop in a central London location.
The supplier will support the programme by supporting the businesses as per details below.
The primary focus is to better understand market/supplier appetite, capacity and capability, as well as possible risks and opportunities.
Request for Information from the Market: We will be holding a Supplier briefing of the upcoming opportunity for all interested suppliers on 19th June 2024 via teams.
Following the session, feedback will be requested in relation to the proposal to allow views from the market to inform the development and finalisation of the Invitation to tender.

Proposed scope of works The successful bidder will be expected to deliver the 'London Made Me' retail development programme which consists of the following: • Act as a key liaison across the LEARN, BUILD and TRADE phases, supporting participants with visible leadership, project management and problem-solving skills throughout. o On boarding o Stakeholder engagement o Participant support throughout the programme; o Pastoral care; o Shop-based events o Evaluation & aftercare • Supporting the participants to take part in a 'real time' shop-build alongside designers and tradespeople to develop an enticing, interactive and inclusive retail space, and a month-long public trading period within a festive season.
This will be curated by the participants who will also staff the shop on a rotation basis, supported by paid retail assistants consisting of: o Shop fit out; o Health & safety; o Inventory and pricing; o Live trading & Staffing; o Contract management of retail leases; o Shop pack down; o Managing payment processes Please note the attached spec is a draft version only.
Supplier briefing workshop We wish to create an opportunity to provide additional detail regarding the supplier requirements and for your input in the feasibility of the programme, addressing concerns during a Q&A section.
We will subsequently issue a questionnaire for your completion prior to formally issuing the Invitation to tender to the prequalified supplier.
Contract Length: 6 - 9 months
