NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (WCCG) wishes to appoint a provider to coordinate and oversee the delivery of primary care diagnostic services, ensuring that all patients have standardised access and are offered a quality service.
The provider will actively work with 42 GP practices in Wandsworth to deliver the following diagnostic services: • 24hr Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring • 12-lead Electrocardiogram • Phlebotomy • Spirometry The provider will deliver a service that: • Supports national and local initiatives; • Provides 100% coverage of services across Wandsworth; • Provides an integrated service; • Minimises duplication of effort; • Updates the current service specifications in line with current activity and local/national guidance; • Ensures the services are offered close to the patients’ homes.
Recognising that this service falls within Part B of the Public Contract Regulations 2006, the Contracting Authority has designed a bespoke, procurement process consisting of 3 distinct phases enabling the identification of the most capable provider.
A contract with WCCG will be awarded for 2 years, with the option to extend for a further year at the Commissioner’s discretion.
The contract will commence on 1st April 2016.
The total value of the contract over 2 years is estimated at £1,143,000.
