The scope of works is for the Supply, Install and Commissioning of a new Emergency Escape Lighting System to meet the requirements of both BS5266:Part 1:2011 and BS5266:Part 8:2004 (BS EN 50172:2004) to replace the existing building Emergency Lighting provision and associated Exit Signage.
The contractor shall allow for all equipment, system wiring, installation, and final testing & commissioning.
All builders’ works and minor redecorations and making good in connection with the upgrade should be the responsibility of the contractor.
The existing emergency lighting equipment shall generally be protected and maintained until the new system has been installed, tested, commissioned and tested as detailed and in accordance with this specification.
The Contractor shall supply, install, satisfactorily test and commission the said services to the Trust Engineer’s satisfaction and to provide full documentation comprising operating, maintenance instructions and record information and building logbooks to facilitate the successful management, operation and running of the new emergency escape lighting System all as set out herein and as shown on the tender/contract drawings.
All works executed under this contract shall be carried out in strict accordance with BS5266:Part 1:2011, BS5266:Part 8:2004 and BS7671 17th Edition and the complete satisfaction of the Trust.
