The brief

Early engagement for North West Surrey Direct Access Adult Hearing Services (Audiology) for NHS North West Surrey CCG (the Commissioner).

The Commissioner is supported in this project by its procurement partner NHS Commercial Solutions (NHSCS), which is managing this procurement.

The Commissioner wishes to engage suitable providers in the potential procurement of direct access adult hearing services (audiology).

The Commissioner is seeking to redesign and improve current services, transitioning to a direct access model with the assessment, fitting and on-going review of hearing aids provided in the community.

Interested providers are invited to attend a market engagement event at St Columba's House, Maybury Hill, Woking, Surrey GU22 8AB on Thursday 12th January (11:00 - 12:30).

Full specifications and procurement documents will be released shortly after this event with the aim of securing cost effective and high quality hearing aid services for all appropriate patients registered with a North West Surrey CCG GP Practice.

Successful provider(s) would be expected to deliver direct access hearing aid services to the adult population of North West Surrey CCG.

The services will be delivered in a community setting with adequate geographical spread across the North West Surrey area to promote equitable access.

The approximate value of this opportunity is £1m.

This engagement event will provide an initial opportunity for interested parties to hear the Commissioner's views on the service configuration and input into the design of the clinical and commercial model.
