Quotations are invited for the provision of habilitation, orientation, mobility and life skills services to visually impaired children and young people up to and including 25 years of age for whom the Council has an education responsibility and who live in the county of Leicestershire.
The Council require a quality service that will enable visually impaired children and young people to acquire a range of skills appropriate to their needs, aspirations and age, which enable them to maximise their opportunity to achieve the following outcomes: • Independent travel and mobility • Independent living skills • Social inclusion • Increased emotional health, well-being and life chances • To be safe • Competence in the use of habilitation tools for mobility and independent travel • The ability to assess risks and anticipate difficulties in mobility and independent living
