Involve will assist with the design and delivery of a Citizens' Assembly on the Future of Neighbourhood Policing.
Involve will work with the Council to make sure that the assembly has a clear scope and design that aligns with its purpose and is appropriate to the time available at the assembly.
Involve will work to ensure the topical and sensitive nature of the assembly is well-handled both in the sense of communication and engagement with those beyond assembly members, and in terms of looking after the welfare of assembly members themselves.
The Citizens' Assembly will act as a deliberative forum where residents representative of the borough and acutely affected by key challenges pertinent to the assembly will come together to review evidence and deliberate on a set of recommendations for the Council and its partners on the Future of Neighbourhood Policing.
The Citizens' Assembly will take place over three weekends with a focus on learning, deliberating and deciding.
The Citizens' Assembly will be a meaningful and accessible forum for residents to engage directly with the Council and play a central role in shaping the recommendations for how local policing by consent should look.
