Request for Market Feedback for a Next Stage Mortality Quality Review Service NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit will be conducting an exercise in the future on behalf of West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (WL CCG), East Leicestershire & Rutland CCG (ELR CCG) and Leicester City CCG (LC CCG) to seek suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide an external Next Stage Mortality Quality Review service.

Currently, Expressions of interest (EOIs) are being sought, via email, from the market to assist with the service specification.

CCGs are responsible for commissioning and assessing End of Life Care.

The aim of the Next Stage Review is for an external team, to undertake a retrospective case note review for end of life care.

It is anticipated that the total number of case notes to be reviewed is about 400 based on those who die 30 days after discharge of which 72% dying in hospital and 28% dying either in a community hospital or in the community.

The Commissioners would like to hear from any potential provider who would be willing to complete and submit the attached form.

The Commissioners would value expert insight that can be given into the delivery of this type of service, and information would be greatly received.

Whilst this is to help properly design a realistic service specification for an upcoming tender covering the LLR region the information you give may be shared with other CCG’s in England.

Also the information you provide and your details may be used in any rationale for the service specification content and may be suitable for issue in response to any Freedom of Information Requests (FOIs) received.

Providers wishing to express an interest in delivering this service need to send an email, to LLRprocurement@ardengemcsu.nhs.uk enclosing the attached feedback form by no later than 5pm Thursday 1st September 2016.
