The purpose of this tender procedure is to secure a partner for the acceptance and processing of household garden waste for composting together with a small amount of the Council’s own parks waste for the Borough Council of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, acting as a Waste Collection Authority.
Annual tonnages are approximately 5000 - 5500 tonnes p.a.
The Council proposes to enter into a contract from 1st March 2017 for an initial period of one year.
The Council retains the option of extending the contract by up to three further one year periods, making a total possible contract length of up to four years.
