The brief

Kingston upon Hull City Council is seeking providers to supply & deliver transport services for Education and Social Care.

Hull City Council intends to establish a framework for the provision of its Transport Services with suitably qualified operators of Private Hire, Hackney Carriage and PSV/PCV vehicles.

Hull City Council will be re tendering 18 routes, broken down into 8 lots.

Tenderers can bid for one or more of the lots.

Bids for individual routes will not be accepted .

The requirements cover the transporting of: Pupils and passenger assistants (where applicable) to schools/colleges and either back home again, or to other designated points.

Social care clients (both adults and children) to various locations.

The routes and destinations for this transport provision may be within the boundaries of Hull but may also be to and from locations outside of the Authority's geographical boundaries.

The Framework will run between 1st September 2015 and end 31st August 2017.

No extensions will be granted to this Framework.

No guarantee can be provided to the successful tenderer(s) of the amount of business to be placed during the continuance of the framework.

Under this contract the Supplier will be required to actively contribute to the achievement of social objectives.

These include: skills development; employment and training opportunities within the locality of where the contract will be delivered; and other added value initiatives throughout the supply chain to support community programmes promoted by the council.
