Invitation to submit an Expression of Interest for Delivering the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme Orientation Support for Cornwall Cornwall will be welcoming an initial three Syrian refugee families in late March/early April 2016, as part of the Government's Syrian Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme.

Cornwall Council would like to hear from organisations that have the right skills, experience and capacity to deliver a programme of orientation support to the three families for an initial period of 12 months.

We are looking for an organisation who: • Can provide a face to face caseworker for each family to deliver a person centred programme to help them settle into the community and receive the services they need • Has experience of working with refugees settling in the UK and understands the issues they may face • Has a good understanding of the full range of services a family may need including benefits, education, health and wellbeing • Can mobilise Arabic speaking caseworkers and/or arrange interpretation if required • Is familiar with voluntary sector networks in Cornwall and can work closely with this sector • Can mobilise these services quickly to be ready to welcome the refugees If you would like to submit an expression of interest please email refugeehelp@cornwall.gov.uk introducing your organisation and relevant experience, in no more than 500 words, no later than the 22 January 2016.

A formal specification will then be issued on receipt of expressions of interest.
