NHS Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wishes to commission a community-based multi-disciplinary musculoskeletal (MSK) service.
The Service will provide specialist Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) MSK care for the registered population of Central London CCG (including patients registered as a temporary resident).
The Service will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning for patients with MSK conditions.
The MDT must be led by senior clinicians, who have responsibility over all elements of a patient’s MSK pathway.
The service specialties that are included within the Service scope are: • MSK physiotherapy services; • Outpatient orthopaedic services; • Outpatient rheumatology services; and • Chronic MSK pain management services.
The Service will triage, assess, advise, treat and manage the adult population (16 years and over) of Central London CCG.
Recognising that this service falls within Part B of the Public Contract Regulations 2006, the Contracting Authority has designed a bespoke, single stage procurement process akin to the Open Procedure.
A contract with NHS Central London CCG will be awarded for 3 years and 6 months, with the option to extend for a further 2 years at the Commissioner’s discretion.
The expected service commencement date for NHS Central London CCG is 1st October 2015.
The total value of the contract over 3 years and 6 months is estimated at circa £7,000,000.
