The purpose of this service is to provide safe, suitable, and immediately available emergency accommodation for individuals, couples or households who require urgent placement due to homelessness, crisis, or risk of harm.
The service will operate on a spot-purchase basis, enabling the Authority to secure accommodation flexibly and at short notice.
The Local Authority has now concluded an Open Invitation to Tender under the Procurement Act 2023.
Due to the nature of the service, The Authority is looking to enter into 11 spot-purchase contracts with accommodation providers, up to a total maximum value of £5 million (£5,000,000) across all providers, over a six-year contract period (4+1+1).
