Hartlepool Borough Council would like to inform potential providers of the Councils' intentions to advertise a contract opportunity in the near future for provision of a 24 hour, short stay, care, support and accommodation for adults with learning disabilities.
The service will consist of: Six (6) beds on a block purchase arrangement for individuals nominated by the Council for such periods as agreed between the Council and the Provider in order to provide scheduled respite for Carers and/or the Residents themselves; One (1) emergency bed which the Provider will retain for emergency admissions.
The service must be delivered from a care home, accessible by car or public transport, with a journey time no greater than 10 minutes from the centre of Hartlepool.
For the purposes of this tender, the centre of Hartlepool has been determined to be post code area TS24 8AY.
The care home must be registered with the Care Quality Commission for the provision of respite support to people with learning disabilities and rated "Good" or "Outstanding".
All seven (7) beds must be available for occupation on 1st April 2022 on commencement of the contract
