The ICB is directly awarding contracts to existing providers for a 12 month period commencing 1st April 2024.
These are contract modifications and are to provide NHS Talking Therapies in Wirral, Warrington and Cheshire East, a national requirement and part of the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS Mental Health Implementation Plan.
The services will provide a range of therapies for anxiety and depression based on emotional health concerns and working in conjunction with local partners and secondary care mental health services.
Reasons for Direct Award are around the uncertainty in the National Health Mental Health plans post 23/24; a Direct Award now will give time for alignment and review of pathways and potential future procurement on a regional basis from March 2025.
