The brief

This scheme will initially provide 50 on street cycle parking units with 6 spaces per unit by the end of 2025, with an option to extend the contract to provide an additional 50 units by the end of 2027.

In addition to providing and installing the units, the supplier will also be required to operate a rental system to rent the spaces to residents, and to undertake both routine and reactive maintenance of the units.

Cardiff Council will fund the supply and installation of the cycle parking units.

The costs for the rental system and ongoing maintenance must be covered by the supplier through the income generated through rental fees.
