The Council is seeking to appoint suppliers for Highways Maintenance Works, which is split into two (2) lots, Lot 1 - A1.1 Surface Dressing & Micro Carriageway Surfacing and Lot 2 - A2 Structural Carriageway Resurfacing.
The work involved within Lot 1 - A.1.1 will involve carriageway surface dressing which will include post application processes to prevent chipping loss, pre-patching using conventional and specialist materials, and proprietary processes including re-application of carriageway markings, associated ironwork adjustments and renewal, and all associated traffic and pedestrian management; and resurfacing of carriageways using specialist thin-layer micro surfacing materials, including pre-patching using conventional and specialist materials and proprietary processes, and re-application of carriageway markings, associated ironwork adjustments and renewal, and all associated traffic and pedestrian management.
A single supplier will be awarded the contract under Lot 1.
The work involved within Lot 2 - A2 will involve highway surfacing, including Hot Rolled Asphalt, Close Graded Asphalt Concrete, and other specialist asphalts as necessary, to base, binder, and surface levels, and proprietary processes including ironwork adjustment, re-application of carriageway markings, and all associated traffic and pedestrian management.
A single supplier will be awarded the contract under Lot 2.
Tenderers can submit a tender response for one or both Lots.
The anticipated contract commencement date for both Lots is 1 December 2025 and will be for a period 3 years, to conclude on 1 December 2028.
