Havant Borough Council (the council) is undertaking preliminary market engagement (PME) in respect of the provision of property and tenancy management services.
The types of services required are: - Pre-letting repair (void) works - Tenancy management and client support services - Statutory, routine and emergency repair and maintenance works (post-letting) These services are required in respect of a number of properties that have been purchased and that will be purchased by the council to provide temporary accommodation for homeless families.
The council aims to have purchased 15 properties within the borough by the end of 2025, with 10 of these properties expected to be 'new builds'.
These properties are being purchases using funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and the Local Authority Housing Fund Round 3 (LAHF 3).
Where additional funding becomes available, the council may seek to increase the size of the property portfolio as part of its commitment to support homeless families in the borough.
The council is proposing an initial contract period for delivery of the services, of 2 years, with the option to extend by a further period of 12 months.
A longer term or additional extension periods may be required subject to future plans for the services.
